The Yorkshire Air Museum’s Handley Page Halifax ‘FRIDAY the 13th’ was outside for the annual 1940’s themed ‘We’ll Meet Again” weekend.
With groups of reenactors present & this Austin K2 NAAFI canteen van GLR982. The vehicle was first introduced in 1939.
The Halifax was a WW2 heavy bomber used by the RAF, as well as a few other countries. With over 6000 built, it formed the backbone of the RAF’s heavy bomber fleet, along with the slightly more famous Lancaster bomber.
Given a creative vintage look here.
