SriLankan Airlines transports the Sri Lanka national men’s cricket team into Birmingham Airport ahead of upcoming ODI and T20 matches against the England cricket team towards the end of June – with one of the airline’s Airbus A330-300 arriving after dawn out of Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport with UL1507.

At almost 11 hours flying time away, Bandaranaike is the hub and headquarters for SriLankan, which currently operates an all-Airbus fleet spread across the A320, A320neo, and A330 families.
4R-ALO was delivered new to the airline in July 2015, and is christened ‘City of Senkadagalapura’ after the centrally-located city in Sri Lanka, now known as Kandy – both a sacred Buddhist location and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
