The 2022 Royal Air Force Tutor Display Team pilot Flt Lt David-John Gibbs returns to land on Runway 18 at Wellesbourne Mountford, after his first display at the Midlands Air Festival over nearby Ragley Hall, flying in one of the aircraft recently chosen to trial a new high-conspicuity training livery for future use.

Named after the Avro basic trainer of the same name that first flew in 1929, the Tutor T Mk1 forms a major component of the RAF’s University Air Squadron (UAS) and Air Experience Flights (AEF) operations.
First introduced in 1999, the aircraft is being phased out of the Elementary Flying Training (EFT) role in favour of the new Grob G120TP Prefect, flying under the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS) contract.
