This aircraft was manufactured in 1940 so at the time of photographing it was 83 years of age. Based on the research I have done it seems that the Waco UPF-7 appears to have served as a training aircraft for military pilots in the United States for WW2. One other truly interesting thing is that the Cape Cod Airfield was founded by Zenas Crocker, a man who resided in Oyster Harbors, Massachusetts who flew open-cockpit biplanes in World War I.
