On 22 April 2022, Malaysia Airlines resumed its flight from Kuala Lumpur – Surabaya. This is the first revenue passenger flight by Malaysia Airlines after more than a year of hiatus on this route. flight MH870/MH871 is resumed with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
