IL-114 seen at MAKS 2001. The Ilyushin IL-114 is intended to replace the Antonov An-24, it first flew in 1990. A total of 20 Il-114s have been built of which 6 have flown with Uzbekistan Airways but were retired in 2018 . This is an Ilyushin IL-114-100 fitted with PW127H engines. Most aircraft had Klimov TV7-117S powerplants. The aircraft were build in Tashkent, Uzbekstan.
Because the An-24’s are now getting very old there is a new drive to get the type back in production, with all Russian equipment. A modernised version (IL-114-300) flew for the first time on 16th December 2020.
