The Hong Kong Government Flying Service is the Hong Kong government’s paramilitary flying unit, responsible for providing aid around the island, including, but not limited to, Search and Rescue, Medical Transfers, Sea Rescue, and aerial firefighting. Over the years, the HKGFS has operated a variety of fixed wing and rotary aircraft, such as the Saab 340, Blackhawk, and the Eurocopter AS332 Super Puma. They now operate a fleet of 7 Airbus H175 helicopters, along with 2 Bombardier Challengers, a DA42, and EC155 helicopters. The unit is based out of Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong, with a base at Kaitak, and a helipad near the HKCEC.
The helicopters sport an elegant grey over black livery, which the bombardiers sport a contemporary white and orange livery.
