Built for BOAC, this a/c first flew on 1st January 1965, with the official delivery date of 27th March that year.
After the merger of BOAC & BEA to become British Airways in 1972, this a/c initially just gained new titles, until a full repaint in 1974.
It was flown to Duxford on the 15th April 1980, to become part of the collection cared for by the Duxford Aviation Society.
Re-painted in the BOAC – Cunard titles, a short-lived Scheme during the 60’s, the result of a collaboration between the airline & the shipping line.
