American Airlines bought or merged with a number of other airlines over the years, to remember these airlines, American painted aircraft in their respective airline colours. This Airbus A319 is in the colours of Allegheny Airlines, Allegheny operated out of Pittsburg Pennsylvania from 1952 to 1979 with routes primarily located in the eastern U.S. It was the forerunner of USAir which was subsequently renamed US Airways.
