Aero Contractors of Nigeria was established in 1959 as a subsidiary of Schreiners Airways of the Netherlands, hence the stylised S in the tail. In the 1970’s Nigerian law required companies to be majority owned by Nigerian persons or entities and Schreiners interest was reduced to 40%. In 2010 the company became wholly owned by a Nigerian private family. in 2013 it was effectively nationalised.
This Boeing 737 was leased from JAT Yugoslav Airlines from September 2006 till February 2007.
