India’s reliable low cost airline Indigo which now really ‘ Means Business ‘ as evident from the decals on the aircraft recently launch business class cabin to compete with the full service carrier of India ‘ Air India ‘ and called it ‘ #IndigoStretch ‘ this was announced during the airline’s 18th anniversary event on 05th August 2024 along with a frequent flier program called ‘ Indigo BluChip ‘. This aircraft delivered on 31st October 2024 is currently the only to have the stretch cabin. All Airbus A321neo aircraft will have 12 Recaro R5 business seats in 2-2 configuration and 196 economy class 3-3 configuration seats. Currently the next 14 deliveries from Airbus will all be Stretch configured aircraft enabling 6E to expand the offers on more metro routes like Hyderabad , Chennai Bengaluru and Kolkata from its base in Delhi.

The tickets to the stretch cabin will be sold in 2 categories ‘ Stretch and Stretch+ ‘ while all services like dedicated check-in counters , anytime boarding , veg meals , seat selections etc is same the Stretch+ tickets will get 40kg 2 piece allowance instead of 30kg 2 pieces and a slight difference in the change and cancellation fees for Stretch.
