C-FLYL will be permanently withdrawn from flight. The last one operating out of the 5 Martin JRM Mars ever built, Hawaii Mars, was the first JRM Mars received by the US Navy in 1945. Its last flight will take place on Sunday, August 11 with takeoff from Sproat Lake, its base near Port Alberni (Victoria Island, BC, Canada) and landing at the BC Aviation Museum. The aircraft is being donated to BC Aviation Museum by its current owner, Coulson Aviation. What a sight seeing this beauty fly
